How to Install a Thermal Printer (Receipt Printer)
Purpose:
Ensure reliable setup of a thermal receipt printer for retail or restaurant POS environments.
Prerequisites:

Thermal printer unit

Power cable & adaptor

USB/Serial/Ethernet cable

Thermal paper roll (80mm or 58mm, as per model)
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Unpack & Inspect:
Check for damage or missing accessories. Ensure thermal paper is of correct size. -
Load the Paper Roll:

Open the cover.
-
Insert paper roll with thermal side facing out.

Close cover firmly until it clicks.

Connect to POS Terminal:

USB → Connect to available port
-
Serial → Use COM port with driver

Ethernet → Connect to router/switch (for network printers)

Connect Power Cable:
Plug in the power adaptor and switch on the printer. -
Install Drivers (if not plug-and-play):

Use manufacturer-provided driver CD or download from official website

Install and assign printer port in Device Manager/Printer Settings

Print Test Page:

Hold FEED and power on printer to print test slip

Confirm settings (IP address, firmware version, etc.)
